Hello, I’m Toyin — and welcome to Whisper & Muse.
I created Whisper & Muse while navigating my own transition into motherhood. Like many women, I found myself searching for answers about identity, wellness, balance, and how to remain connected to myself while stepping into the profound responsibility of caring for another life.
What began as personal curiosity slowly became something deeper: a process of research, reflection, and redefinition. Through that process, I discovered something both simple and powerful. Motherhood is not only about caring for others. It is also an invitation to rediscover agency in your own life.
Whisper & Muse grew from that realization.

The Wellness of Motherhood
Motherhood changes everything- your body, your routines, your priorities, and often your sense of self.
But wellness in motherhood is rarely discussed beyond surface-level advice. We hear about self-care, productivity, or bouncing back, yet the deeper layers of maternal well-being are often left unexplored.
Whisper & Muse exists to explore those deeper layers.
Here we talk about:
- identity and personal evolution in motherhood
- nourishment and healing in the body
- emotional regulation and mental load
- rest, rhythm, and nervous system care
- the role of creativity, beauty, and reflection in daily life
Together these form what I call The Wellness of Motherhood , a holistic approach to maternal well-being that honors the full experience of becoming and being a mother.
Because maternal wellness is not a luxury.
It is foundational.
When mothers are supported emotionally, physically, and psychologically, families and communities become more stable and resilient.
Listening to the Whispers
The name Whisper & Muse comes from a belief that the answers we seek are often already present within us.
Not loudly.
Not dramatically.
But quietly.
In the body’s signals.
In moments of reflection.
In the realization that something in our lives needs attention, care, or change.
I call these moments whispers.
When we slow down enough to hear them, they guide us toward what we need, whether that is rest, clarity, nourishment, or a shift in perspective.
And when we begin listening more closely to those signals, we discover something empowering:
We are capable of shaping our own motherhood experience.
We become our own muse.
Why This Space Exists
Whisper & Muse is a place for mothers who want a more thoughtful conversation about motherhood.
Not just how to do more,
but how to live motherhood with greater awareness, steadiness, and intention.
This space is not about perfection.
It is about:
- understanding the identity shifts of motherhood
- supporting the body through nourishment and rest
- creating rhythms that sustain rather than deplete
- reconnecting with creativity and reflection
- honoring the woman within the mother
Motherhood can be beautiful and disorienting at the same time.
Here, both truths are allowed to exist.
A Little More About Me
Outside of Whisper & Muse, a few things shape who I am:
• I’ve run three marathons: New York, Honolulu, and Big Sur
• My favorite time of day is dawn
• My favorite meal is my father’s Nigerian egusi stew with eba
• My favorite city I’ve visited is Havana
• My favorite flower is peonies
• One of my favorite sounds is my father speaking Yoruba
• I’m deeply inspired by stories from my mother’s childhood
• And yes, sarcasm is absolutely a love language
Whisper & Muse began as a search for answers.
Over time, it became a practice of listening to the body, to experience, and to the quiet insights that shape how we live motherhood.
An Invitation
